Ingredients :
- A few fillets of fresh herrings
- 6 or 8 tablespoons of sour cream
- a few boned anchovies
- butter
- brown breadcrumbs
- salt
- pepper
Method :
- The fillets of herrings are put in a buttered fireproof dish with the sour cream, then sprinkle with breadcrumbs, well seasoned with salt and pepper, and garnished with anchovies (in oil) and a few pats of butter on the top.
- Put in a moderate oven and cook for 20 - 30 minutes, till the fish is quite tender.
