Kronans Kaka (Crowns Cake)

Ingredients :

  • 7 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 3/4 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of grated potatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups of ground almonds

Method :
  1. Cream the butter and sugar with the yolks of eggs, add the grated potatoes, working the mixture for 30 minutes.
  2. Add the ground almonds, mix thoroughly and finally add the white of eggs, beaten to a stiff froth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a buttered cake pan, sprinkled with breadcrumbs, and bake in a fairly cool oven for about 45 minutes.
  4. Let it stand for 15 minutes before turning out.
  5. LEMON CREAM is served with this.
