Ingredients :
- 1 cabbage
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of golden syrup
- 3 quarts of good stock
- 8 to 10 peppercorns
Method :
- Remove the outer and coarse leaves of the cabbage and the ribs.
- Chop the cabbage and cook in butter to a light brown.
- Add the syrup, and stir continuously till the syrup is thoroughly brown, being careful not to let it get too dark.
- Add the stock and the peppercorn, cover, and simmer for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
- Serve with FRIKADELLER.
