Kalsoppa Med Frikadeller (Cabbage Soup With Meat Croquettes)

Ingredients :

  • 1 cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of golden syrup
  • 3 quarts of good stock
  • 8 to 10 peppercorns

Method :
  1. Remove the outer and coarse leaves of the cabbage and the ribs.
  2. Chop the cabbage and cook in butter to a light brown.
  3. Add the syrup, and stir continuously till the syrup is thoroughly brown, being careful not to let it get too dark.
  4. Add the stock and the peppercorn, cover, and simmer for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  5. Serve with FRIKADELLER.
