This is typicall Dutch Sauce, often used with groats or rice.
Ingredients :
- 1/2 pint of milk
- just over 1/4 cup of flour
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 stick of cinnamon
Method :
- Mix the flour and sugar, and moisten with a little cold milk.
- Put the remainder of the milk in a saucepan with the stick of cinnamon, bring to the boil and simmer till the milk is well flavored.
- Stir in the flour and sugar, and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continously.
- Remove the stick of cinnamon before serving.
- Powdered cinnamon can be used instead.
