Ingredients : (Makes 1 loaf)
- 1 (16 oz) package date quick-bread mix
- 1 (10 oz) jar maraschino cherries, drained and halved
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup cherry-flavored liqueur or extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp oil
- Melted chocolate or confectioners' sugar
Directions :
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray an 8 x 4-inch or 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In large bowl, combine bread mix, cherries, chocolate chips, water, liqueur, eggs and oil.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Bake 80 minutes or until bread tests done in center.
- Cool 15 minutes.
- Remove from pan; cool 1 hour.
- Drizzle with chocolate or sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
- Wrap lightly in plastic wrap or foil.
- Refrigerate 24 hours.
- Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks or in freezer up to 3 months.
