Boerenkool Met Rookworst (Curly Cabbage With Smoked Sausages)

Remove the outer leaves from three cabbages, wash thoroughly, and boil in salted water for 30 minutes. Then add 2 1/2 lbs. of peeled potatoes and smoked sausages, bring to the boil and simmer for 30 minutes till the potatoes and sausages are done.
