Cream Cheese Banana Bread

The cream cheese add flavor and moisture to this regular banana bread. This is a very moist, delicious bread.

Ingredients :

  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 C. mashed ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 C. buttermilk biscuit mix
  • 1/2 C. chopped walnuts (can use pecans)
Directions :
  1. Cream sugar and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in banana and eggs.
  3. Add biscuit mix and pecans.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
  6. Cool before slicing.

Notes:
Try adding a little bit of orange peel to the batter.
Mix 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4 c. light brown sugar; top the bread with this before baking.
